Lottery Calendars

FAYFCA has one mandatory fundraising program, Lottery Calendars,  for the 2022 season. All other fundraisers during the year are optional. The mandatory fundraising fee is included in the 2022 registration fee. Families can choose to sell their calendars and recuperate their funds or keep the calendars for themselves.  


Lottery Calendars are all $15 each. Payouts range from $50 to $125.


Please return the completed portion of the calendar to the Events Coordinator by September 30th. 
Cash, Check or Credit Card are acceptable forms or payment.  (Checks should be made payable to 'FAYFCA')

Each player/cheerleader will be required to sell four (4) Lottery Calendars, with the exception of the new tackle players receiving discount registration. These players are required to sell six (6) Lottery Calendars. Families with three or more children will only be required to purchase twelve (12) lottery calendars.


HOW TO WIN

The calendars are good for the month October and are linked to the PA Lottery Evening PICK 3 Daily Number.  Each calendar has a 3-digit number on it.  If that number on the calendar comes up as the evening Pick 3 number for the PA Lottery, the card holder will win the prize amount listed for that given day on the calendar of the card.  FAYFCA will keep track of winning numbers and send a check to the address listed on the ticket. 



"TACKLE YOUR FEE" PROGRAM

Any player/cheerleader that sell over & above the mandatory 4 fundraiser items, can actually get money back from FAYFCA towards your registration fee.  This does not apply to the new tackle player discount. This program is called "Tackle Your Fee" and it lets parents sell extra fundraising items to reduce the amount paid for your registration fee for FAYFCA.   

Here’s how it works:

FAYFCA will require that all players/cheerleaders sell four (4) mandatory fundraising items, but every item sold after the fifth will go toward erasing the registration fee.  For each additional fundraising item sold, you will receive $5 back. For example: if a cheerleader sells eight (8) lottery calendars: The first four (4) are mandatory, the additional four (4) will take $20 off of the registration fee.  Which means the activity fee will be reduced from $100 to $80.

Families may sell enough items to reduce their fee completely, and any items sold after that go to FAYFCA's fundraising effort.  For all players and cheerleaders, the deadline for selling items to Tackle Your Fee is September 30th.

Common Questions About “Tackle Your Fee”

  1. Why is only a portion of the money received from extra fundraising going toward reducing our registration fees?  Why not all of it?
  2. How will I receive funds from Tackle Your Fee?
  3. What if my player/cheerleader sells more fundraising than is required to erase his/her fee?
  4. Is there a Buyout option, to not do any fundraising at all?

  1. Why is only a portion of the money received from extra fundraising going toward reducing our registration fees?  Why not all of it?
    FAYFCA relies on fundraising revenue to operate. Last year, during our first mandatory fundraiser many of our players/cheerleaders and parents sold more than the mandatory items, and this additional revenue was essential in doing things such as providing helping to pay for use of facilities, equipment reconditioning and the cost of light towers at the practice fields.  The board wanted to enact Tackle Your Fee without sacrificing this much needed revenue to the organization.  We modeled this program after seeing the positive impact it had for our friends at FABA and their families.  This will help allocate the funds from additional fundraising to ensure that we could provide Tackle Your Fee while keeping our budget.  Since this is our first year trying this program, the $10 credit made the most sense, to see how it works.  If it's a success, and doesn't affect the organization in an adverse way, we may be able to increase the amount families get back in future seasons.
      
  2. How will I receive funds from Tackle Your Fee?
    The deadline for selling items to Tackle Your Fee is August 31st for all players/cheerleaders.  After the deadline, our Treasurer will adjust fees based on number of items sold and will send/handout refund checks to those who have already paid, and sold more fundraising than the required three items.  This will happen by the end of the season.
  3. What if my player/cheerleader sells more fundraising than is required to erase his/her entire fee?
    Your fee will be reduced to zero and any additional fundraising revenue will go to FAYFCA.

 

  1. Is there a Buyout option to not do any fundraising at all?
    Yes!  FAYFCA recognizes that we're all faced with many fundraising obligations throughout the year, and your time is valuable.  However, due to the integral role that fundraising plays for our program, if anyone would like to opt-out of fundraising altogether, you would pay a $100 Buyout option, which would allow you to forego any fundraising at all. 

 

  1. What if I have multiple children in the program and want to do the Buyout?  Is the Buyout per child or per family?
    We recognize that we are all faced with lots of fundraising throughout the year, and most times this falls on the parents, and is compounded when you have multiple children.  Therefore FAYFCA will allow a multiple child Buyout scale option.  If you have 1 child, the Buyout is $100.  Any additional children that you have would be an additional $25 (rather than a full $100).
