Online registration opens March 1st. Players must be a resident of Fleetwood Area School District.
FOOTBALL ELIGIBILITY
Flags: Players may not turn 7 prior to July 1st of the league year (Player should turn 4 by 8/31)
Mighty Mites: Ages 7-8; may not turn 9 prior to July 1st of the league year
Mites: Ages 9-10; may not turn 11 prior to July 1st of the league year
Midgets: Ages 11-12; may not turn 13 prior to July 1st of the league year
*All 8th graders must play on the Middle School team regardless of age
FOOTBALL LEVELS
Flags: 8 vs 8, smaller field (80 yds long, half of field wide), no contact, develop basics
Mighty Mites: 11 vs 11, full contact, focus on fundamentals
Mites: 11 vs 11, full contact, learn specific positions, develop technique
Midgets: 11 vs 11, full contact, learn specific positions, develop technique. Focuses on preparing athletes for higher level of play with a balance of competition and fun.
*The association provides helmets, chin strap, shoulder pads, game pants, game jersey, rib protectors and mouth guards
PRACTICES
- Practices start last week of July
- Attendance is required!!
- Tackle football practices held Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs from 6pm to 8pm (until school starts)
- Flag football practices held Tues, Wed, & Thurs from 6pm to 7:30pm (until school starts)
- Tackle levels practice 3 days/week after school starts (Tues, Wed, Thurs) and Flags practice Tues & Wed
- Practice location: Richmond YMCA at 14432 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood (along Rt 222)
GAMES
- Season begins weekend before Labor Day (no games Labor Day weekend)
- At least a 7 game regular season, top 4 teams make playoffs (2 additional weekends)
- All home games played at Fleetwood High School stadium (407 N Richmond St, Fleetwood, PA 19522)
- Most games played on Sundays (JV games played on Saturday)
